All staff members are experienced in early childhood education and all meet more than the minimum requirements set by the licensing agency. Staff members participate in a continuous program of in-service education and studies for professional advancement, in order to remain alert to the ever-changing needs of today’s families and to the findings of current research. In order to accomplish this policy requirement, a professional growth day is programmed into the calendar and will be announced at a later date.
The Director has an Associates in science in Early Childhood Education, an Associate in Arts in Child Development Master teacher and Associates in Arts in Child Development Site Supervisor. She also has a certificate of achievement in Early Intervention and Inclusion along with over 20 years of experience working with Children.
Little Bears Daycare Center admits students of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin, to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities, accorded or made available to the children at the daycare center. If you wish to change the days your child is enrolled in the program, you must do so with approval from the director. Adding days to your current program, and or switching the day of the week your child is enrolled, depends on our current space availability.
All parents/guardians of enrolled students are required to keep their child’s forms up to date with their current medical and emergency forms. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure all school forms are current and updated. Administration has the right to not allow the student into the school if any forms are missing from their file after 2 notices from administration.
A REGISTRATION FEE OF $100 is required for official enrollment. In the event that the daycare cannot place the child during the current year, the registration fee can either be refunded or credited to the coming year. You must give a one-month notice if you decide to go on vacation and want to use your free week vacation time. You only get one week per year, after a full one-month paid of daycare before you can use the free week. This must be submitted in writing. Each week’s tuition is due on Friday before care by closing time. No refunds can be given for days of illness or absence, this will also include pandemic circumstances. Due to the fact that the pandemic rules keep changing day by day a separate addendum will be supply with rules for the pandemic. Full tuition will be expected to hold your child’s place in the event of personal vacations, if it exceeds a week. A child absent for two consecutive weeks will be withdrawn from daycare unless proper notification is given to the office in advance. If your child is to be withdrawn from the daycare, notice must be given two weeks in advance and notice must be in writing. Tuition must be paid in one of the following methods. Cash is preferred. Other methods of payment include Zelle, Venmo, and Cash app. For all payments through apps please include an additional $5 processing fee. If all fees are not paid in full within 3 business days of due date, we will be unable to take your child until payment is made in full or your child may be withdrawn from care at our discretion. If your child is withdrawn from care for any reason, you the parent, are still responsible to make all payments owed A 30-day notice will be given prior to any tuition change. Your tuition includes all meals for ages 2 yr-13yrs, plus transportation and tutoring for all school age children.
